My love of Makeup!

For those of you who know me well know that I love everything about makeup! Growing up with a hair stylist mother, early on she taught me the imprtance of good makeup application. Since junior high when she bought me my first set of Trucco brushes (which I still own and use daily) I have been hooked! And without a doubt a good set of brushes is essential to great makeup application. Of course I love MAC cosmetics and brushes, however I've recently come across more affordable versions of my fave MAC tools. Most recently this trio of face brushes from sigmamakeup.com is my new favorite. They are all three Kabuki style in nature, great for buffing on and blending product. I love them to apply foundation and hilight. Overall I'm really sold on the quality of the Sigma brushes in comparison to MAC's. So...if your in the market for some new cosmetic brushes don't overlook these fantastic options!

Not so baby ... Baby Bag

Recently I purchased this amazing little gem on amazon. In my search for a stylish and functional diaper bag I became frustruated fast with the options out there. So thinking outside the box I stumbled upon the Timbuk2 Convertible Tote. I am in love with this bag! It works fantastic as a diaper bag with plenty of space and pockets to hold all that is baby. But my favorite feature is it's capability to expand into a really large tote bag. Along with our 2 month old baby we also have a 5 year old little boy and it's nice to have extra space to toss in basketball shoes or the ds. This is the second Timbuk2 bag I've purchased and I have to say these are the best bags when it comes to durability and functionality...not to mention they just look cool!

Dream Space

For as long as I can remember I have been in love with an industrial loft space. I think it stems back to my love for everything flashdance. Today I stumbled upon this fabulously renovated industrial space @ apartmenttherapy.com. This couple's amazing renovation of an abandoned water filtration plant in Birmingham, Alabama is the perfect blend of concrete modernism with unique hints of design sprinkled throughout. This is my dream home in every way! I admire how the flawlessly partnered inexpensive Ikea fixtures with those amazing staircases. White Barcelona chairs and simple design choices result in a calm, cool, and interesting space. Love..Love...Love! Check it out.
